Rihanna tweeted a message to Britney to praise her for appearing on the highly anticipated collaboration that premiered earlier today (11th April 2011).
The new remix features the pop divas trading lines from 'S&M's' original chorus but also sees Britney Spears singing an entirely new second verse. The 29-year-old sings, "If I'm bad, tie me down. Shut me up, gag and bound me, cause the pain is my pleasure, nothing comes better". The remix comes as both stars are riding high in the Billboard 200 chart. Spears' new album 'Femme Fatale' recently debuted at No. 1, while Rihanna's original version of 'S&M' currently sits at No. 2 on the Hot 100 chart. Shortly before the remix hit the airwaves, Rihanna took to her Twitter page to tell Spears she is "one of the biggest worldwide popstars!" Britney replied with, "You ain't so bad yourself honey".
Rihanna is set to perform live at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on 22nd May 2011. Jennifer Lopez, The Black Eyed Peas and Keith Urban will also be taking to the stage at the star-studded ceremony. more
