Penyanyi yang popular dengan lagu Hips Don't Lie itu mendedahkan perkara itu menerusi akaun Twitternya dimana dia memanggil kekasihnya itu dengan panggilan manja, matahariku.

Malah Syakira turut memaparkan foto aksi mesranya dengan Gerard pada laman tersebut dan meletakkan status gambar berkenaan dalam bahasa Sepanyol, "aku persembahkan matahariku, Shak".

Dalam foto itu, Gerard yang juga merupakan pemain bola sepak Sepanyol memeluk Shakira daripada bahagian belakangnya.

Sebelum ini, desas desas mengenai percintaan Shakira dengan lelaki yang berusia sepuluh tahun lebih muda itu sering dipaparkan di media. Cuma hal tersebut belum disahkan sendiri oleh Shakira,

Difahamkan, pasangan itu mula berkenalan sejak Piala Dunia 2010 yang berlangsung di Afrika Selatan di mana Shakira merupakan penyanyi lagu rasmi acara tersebut iaitu Waka Waka (This Time For Afrika) dan Gerard pula merupakan model bagi klip video lagu berkenaan.

TORONTO - Canadian country-pop darling Shania Twain is recording a new album and preparing to return to the stage.

The superstar singer from Timmins, Ont., made the revelation backstage at Sunday's Juno Awards, where she was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

"I'm not really sure when I'll be able to get back up on that stage. I am preparing for it, I can tell you that, and I am already in the studio with new music and I'm very excited," she told reporters after a tearful speech onstage at the Air Canada Centre.

Twain added that fans will be able to hear her new music "soon," and that she's documented some of her songwriting process in an upcoming documentary-style TV series about her life. more
