American Idol 2012 Judges: Randy and Steven Confirmed, JLo Uncertain
With FOX’s Upfronts this week there were a few tidbits for the American Idol 2012 season. First off we know when the show will return (January 22, 2012) along with its weekly schedule (Wednesdays and Thursdays, post-auditions). Now we also have word on who will be sitting behind the Judges’ table.
Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson both signed multi-year contracts ahead of the 2011 season so that should guarantee they’re back (contracts in Hollywood don’t seem to mean the same thing as contracts in the rest of the country, so it seems). Jennifer Lopez, however, did not sign a multi-year contract and instead went with a single season that had the option for renewal. So far it seems that renewal has not been confirmed and no details on if either side is leaning away.
Lopez recently said in an interview that she hasn’t made up her mind about another season. read more

American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez released her seventh studio album today! The album, LOVE?, includes her RIAA platinum worldwide #1 smash single “On the Floor” (featuring Pitbull), and her brand new second single, “I’m Into You,” (featuring Lil’ Wayne) which impacts this week at Urban and Rhythmic radio formats. The video for “I’m Into You” (directed in Mexico by Melina) had its television premiere yesterday when Jennifer appeared on The Today Show in New York, and it was the first time that a video has ever premiered on the program. The clip debuted simultaneously online at VEVO.

Jennifer Lopez - On The Floor (New Single)
New "American Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez has a new song debuting next week . The track is called "On the Floor" and don't be surprised if we see J.Lo perform it on "Idol" at some point during Season 10. It also features Pitbull, a rapper who has also worked with Lil Jon, the Ying Yang twins and Trick Daddy.

American Idol kick starts on January 19 with New York and New Jersey auditions and the New Orleans auditions will be held on the following night. After several rounds of auditions, the contestants will be selected and will make it to Hollywood .The 'American Idol' heads to Hollywood on February 16 and February 17, 2011.
However, the most awaited moment will be the time when the contestants will move to Sin City. After Sin City, the lucky ones will gets a chance to perform on the track of Beatles and will be on stage with Cirque Du Soleil's Fab Four tribute 'LOVE', in Las Vegas on February 23. After the elimination round on February 24, twenty semi -finalists will make it on March 1 and March 2.
There is buzz doing the rounds that with Steven Tyler and J.Lo’s entry as the show’s judges, the excitement will be building up with a “wild card” on March 3. So do not forget to catch all the action at 'American Idol' premieres on January 19, 2011 on 8 PM ET/PT.
Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez have stepped in as the newest judges after Simon Cowell announced last January that he planned to leave to launch a new talent show for Fox in 2011. Last year's newcomer Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi exited this summer, while original judge Paula Abdul left in 2009 over a contract dispute.
