Dreamgirls tickets now available DREAMGIRLS is a Broadway musical which tells the rags-to-riches story of an up and coming, 1960s girl group, and the triumphs and tribulations that come with fame and fortune. The musical follows the story of a young female singing trio from Chicago, Illinois called “The Dreams”, who become music superstars. It revolves around the era between the late 1960s to 1980s and tells the tale of the journey of ´The Dreams´ with the main Protagonist Effie White (originally played by Jennifer Holliday, and then by Jennifer Hudson in the 2006 release).
This highly sought after musical is now brought to Malaysia live in Istana Budaya from 14 to 24 July 2011. It is presented by BROADWAY ACADEMY who has been given full rights to stage Dreamgirls in Malaysia. This production is a collaboration with KPKK, JKKN and Istana Budaya.
